Exit Games is committed to data security and privacy, and complies with EU General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act(CCPA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), the The Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA) and the Utah Consumer (UCPA). The following addresses how we deal with personal data / personal information(“Personal Data”) in respect to the aforementioned Data protection/ privacy acts and answers questions you may have about our data security and privacy procedures.

Exit Games Privacy Code of Conduct:

  • At Exit Games we ensure that users Personal Data is processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner.
  • Any Personal Data will only be collected and processed for legitimate purposes.
  • The amount and kind of Personal Data that we collect is limited to the Personal Data deemed necessary.
  • We will only keep your Personal Data for the amount of time that it is necessary. This is usually for as long as you hold a Photonengine.com account. We deal internally with Personal Data in a way that ensures protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing.

FAQs

What kind of data is collected / processed by Exit Games and Photon Cloud?

  • While creating a Photonengine.com account, we collect and store user data
    • email address for your account
    • postal address, tax and billing information for any paid subscription
  • Within Photon Cloud, minimal end - user(PII) data is processed
    • IP address of end - user device
    • user id (provided by Studio / Developer application)
    • chat filter content (while using Photon Chat and Community Sift filter)

This data is essential to facilitate networking functionalities within Photon Cloud infrastructure.

How does Exit Games help us to comply with the GDPR, CCPA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA and UCPA?

We provide you with a Data Processing Agreement (“DPA”) which is compliant to GDPR, CCPA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA and UCPA. We also assist you when responding to requests for exercising any data subject’s rights and any measure necessary to secure the processed Personal Data, as far as we are obligated to do so by the GDPR, CCPA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA ot the UCPA and as set out in our DPA.

Where are Exit Games’ servers?

We are acting worldwide to support you globally. We always work with renowned hosting providers in order to provide you with the highest level of security.

Which subprocessors does Exit Games involve?

Please ask privacy@photonengine.com for a list of our sub - processors. In case of a change of any subprocessor, we inform you accordingly. You have the right to object to such change within a certain period of time as set out in our DPA.

Do you provide us with a boilerplate for our privacy policy?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a boilerplate because of legal reasons. As you are the controller / business in relation to your players’ Personal Data, it is up to you to fulfil your information obligations sufficiently.

We want to publish a game / an application. How can we sign a DPA with Exit Games?

We provide a standard DPA for Exit Games EU - and non EU - customers. Please contact privacy@photonengine.com for more information.

How does Exit Games safeguard GDPR compliance with regard to transfers of Personal Data to the US and other countries outside the EU?

We safeguard such transfers by concluding standard contractual clauses.

Is Exit Games acting as data broker?

No.

Under CCPA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA what is Exit Games’ role?

We act as a service provider.

As an Exit Games customer, do I need to implement the opt-out control for transfers to Exit Games to be CCPA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA compliant?

No. As a provider of online services, we are taking steps to ensure that we qualify as a “service provider”. Transfers of Personal Data to service providers are permitted, even where a consumer has opted out from sales of their Personal Data.
